Return to JustGetOut
Since the inception of WenOut in 2005, we've stockpiled some of the best outdoor photos from around the region. With the onset of spring, we need to work hard to keep you, ahem, indoors visiting this site... which is why we compiled this beautiful "Picture of the Week" slideshow from our archives.

John Plotz, Kyle Flick, and Chris Martin attack the Girth Pillar, a big route on Mt Stuart occupying the ground between fright and fun. The entrance fee for three five-star pitches of alpine rock? A whole lot of blood, sweat, and fears.

The Columbia Gorge offers some of the best windsurfing in the world, but Stuart Freed thinks Lake Wenatchee rivals it. At the ‘Lake’ you won’t contend with crowds, barges, or toxins in the water. Instead you get beautiful green water under your fin, spectacular mountain views in your eyes, and strong steady winds in your face.
Mountain Home Ridge, owned by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, provides wildlife habitat and open space on the ridge system immediately south of Leavenworth. The property connects to public lands and offers some nice walks and mountain bike rides.
