Rock Mountain Ski Tour

This route is a non-nonsense ascent and descent of one of the higher peaks flanking Highway 2. From highway you immediately get down to business and climb over 4,200 vertical feet to the summit. Along with the big climb come big views and the big drop back down.

Alpine Lookout via Nason Ridge

This hike takes you to one of the last manned lookouts in the state. Nine Mile Saddle is a narrow ridge that lets you look into both the Lake Wenatchee drainage and the Stevens Pass valley. A pleasant, and not overly strenuous hike.

Merritt Lake

A good trail for autumn colors. The trail is in good condition and connects with other interesting options--it can be part of a loop to Nason Ridge (Round Mountain) or the launching point to climb Mt. Howard.
