Open Kayak Pool Session

We live around some of the best rivers in Washington State and there are a plethora of paddlers in the valley, but not much in the way of a community of paddlers. Having access to an indoor pool is a great way to help grow the paddling community.

Riverfront Rock Gym Coming to Wenatchee in 2016!

The facility will be across from the Town Toyota Center, next to Walla Walla Park. There will be over 10,000 square feet for bouldering, top roping, and lead climbing. The bouldering area will feature 2 levels. The climbing walls will be 40 feet high with options for all skill levels.

Wenatchee High School Ski Building

Teacher Doug Merrill writes about four seniors who took on an unusual design and construction project at Wenatchee High School (WHS) – they made their own alpine skis. The project was unusual enough that Governor Inslee paid a visit.

Ephrata Community Trails

Ray Birks just reported on the WenatcheeOudoorsForum that the trail conditions on the Ephrata trails are currently good. The area offers shrub-steppe terrain and trails that drain well. This is an excellent place to walk, ride, or run in winter (frosted shrubs), spring (flowers and greenery), and autumn (blonde grasses and golden light).
