Treasure on the Loop: Gift Card Giveaway

Last week AmeriCorps volunteer Shelly Forster walked down to the Wenatchee Row and Paddle Club boathouse, hoping for a quiet late afternoon paddle. Instead she found the devious Squilchuck Trolls and their fabled treasure trove. Waterville to Wenatchee

Ray Birks submitted this road biking route on the Forum. We liked his clever use of the Link to make climbing Badger Mountain easier on the muscles, so we turned his short trip report into a guidebook entry. Could there be an easier way to earn 15 minutes of fame than posting your own trip or condition report?

Sun Lakes Loop Hike

Dry Falls is a geological wonder carved by the Ice Age floods. A waterfall once located here was 400 feet high, 3.5 miles wide, and four times the size of Niagara. Today the waterfall is dry but the coulees left behind are filled with lakes. Fred Stanley describes a fun loop hike here.

Cannon and Cashmere - 4 Couloirs, 2 Days

John Plotz and Dan Helmstadter get couloir crazy in late April. On Day 1, they ski two couloirs on Cannon Mouintain before bivying at the Eightmile Trailhead. Day 2,  they go gonzo again and ski two couloirs on Mt. Cashmere.
